Welcome to my dream project, a custom 300 gallon mixed reef aquarium by Lee-Mar.  This project started 2 months ago with the help of our local aquarium shop aqua touch.  For those of you that are interested, I would like to walk you through the daunting task of putting together a monster fish tank.  For starters I have been keeping reef tanks for the past 18 years and my tanks seem to get larger and more intricate as time progresses.  The aquarium is a euro-braced custom glass tank measuring 96" long 30" deep and 25" tall.  The stand is 36" tall which allows the tank to be viewed from a standing position. The aquarium hood measures 18" tall to allow for the intense lighting requirements needed to sustain my small polyp stony corals (SPS).  So let the journey begin.

Here is a picture of the old aquarium I purchased from craigslist about 3 years ago.  A year ago I noticed that the integrity of the seams were on it's last days.  So at the fear of losing my livestock and my wife not wanting to purchase a life raft, I had the perfect excuse to start the project.
